We only get one shot at our life, and it is important to recognize this every moment of every day. This in turn requires us to recognize wonder, beauty and love, to thoroughly enjoy ourselves, and to fully accept the opportunities for responsibility that come our way. I have been very fortunate in all these respects in my life.

After a successful academic and business career, I left the corporate world in early 2006 and embarked upon what friends, family, and colleagues called a "Bohemian" lifestyle. It was fun ride for three years, during which time I taught myself to build websites, I built a diverse consulting business, and I published my first novel. Along the way I was ordained a zen priest, joined the board of the Interfaith Alliance of Metro Atlanta, climbed Half Dome, and took a number of wonderful trips, including one with my wife and children to China and another with my father to South Africa. I like to think I relearned how to give back and to have fun.

I have subsequently published a second novel, which is surprisingly racey but the best thing I have ever written, along with a growing number of other works of fiction and non-fiction, but the book that has been available for longest and which has received the strongest reception is "The Grace of Guilt."

During my extended Bohemian holiday I also reflected on the enjoyment of the last decade of my corporate career as a mergers and acquisitions principal, and I was thrilled to find an opportunity to work with great folk and use these skills to help business owners and operators navigate the cut and thrust of buying or selling a business, for many of whom this is the most important business decision of their life. It is with great excitement that I turned the skills I learned at BellSouth to Abraxas Business Services, Inc. where I am providing business brokerage and mergers & acquisitions for small and middle market companies. I think it important, though, to keep the right brain engaged, as you can hear in a couple of radio interviews with CFO Radio and High Velocity Radio

.

My main business focus is helping business owners identify and realize their financial and personal goals through corporate transactions. I continue, though, to support my existing finanSight clients, to write, and to grow my involvement in business and spiritual communities. One day, maybe, when I have a large library of published works, I will find the time to promote them and dedicate the majority of my life to spirituality, but for the present I am delighted that my books are available on Amazon and that I am able to involve myself as much as I do in Interfaith activities.
